The Guest Hall is about a two-minute walk up a little hill from the cabin area. It's on the ocean-view part of WildSpring and offers wonderful views of the Pacific - from Port Orford Heads down to Humbug Mountain.
It has a comfortable greatroom with radiant heating and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the ocean, plus an expansive deck with teak tables and oversized chairs. This is where guests hang out, relax, play games, work on an ongoing jigsaw puzzle, listen to music and visit with each other while looking at the ocean, listening to the surf and watch for whales.
Breakfast is here, and you can help yourself to refreshments at any time. While we turn on the lights in the morning and off at night, it's unlocked all the time so you can always make yourself a cup of good coffee or all sorts of teas, pop some popcorn for a movie in your cabin or grab some chocolate because it's vacation and you just need it.
You'll find a free library of over 650 DVDs (around the corner in the bathroom...once you see how many there are it will make sense...), plus books, CDs and games to borrow anytime for your cabin.
It’s great for small groups to meet and enjoy each other's company and shared interests...for meetings, workshops, group meals. The skylights and huge windows bring in so much natural light, it's also great for arts and crafts.
When weather permits, the deck is large enough for everyone to meet outside.
Kitchen Facilities
You can also use the Guest Hall kitchen for limited food preparation after 11am. Please see our Kitchen Guidelines for more information.*
It's fully equipped with just about every kind of modern appliance, utensil, pot, pan or small appliance you could want. Special faucets for drinking and instant-hot water are at the sink. These, as well as the ice maker, are supplied by dual-filtered water. And, we have both propane and charcoal grills outside (we supply the charcoal).
(Note: We do not have facilities here suitable for cleaning fish.)
Help Yourself...
You can make yourself a cup of tea, coffee (easy single-cup drip instructions are up there) or hot chocolate, enjoy juices or fruits. Fix yourself some popcorn in the evening. And dark chocolate kisses. Help yourself at any time...compliments of WildSpring.
*These hours are meant to be guidelines so that anyone using the kitchen is sensitive to sharing the facilities with other guests. (And no matter how delicious your garlic broccoli or fish is, to other guests it probably smells a bit intrusive... thanks for understanding...).
