South Coast Tours offers ocean tours May through October, with up close views of the amazing geological features of Orford Heads and Humbug Mountain, as well as the Redfish Rocks Marine Reserve and Orford Reef complex.

They offer interpretation about the pioneer history, the native history and talking about the unique ecological characteristics of the critters seen along the way.

You will likely see sea lions and seals year-round as well as a myriad of sea birds, both migrating and year-round inhabitants. Also both north and south migrating grey whales in the nearshore as well as the local summer feeding whales that hang around all summer. On nicer days and with custom tours you will be finding humpback and hopefully other whales farther out in the ocean.

The Black Pearl can hold up to six people, with these tour options:

• Whales and Wildlife $60 per person, minimum charge of $150. 1.5 hours at 8:30am and 10:30am

• Snorkeling off the Black Pearl $140 per person up to 4 people, 2.5-3 hours, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

• Custom Boat Tour $360 for whole boat charter at arranged time. Can do fishing, sunset cruises, scuba, other locations within this tour.
